Very neat! So what do you think the real reason is?
Er, between you and me… ‘stupid’ is currently my odds-on favourite. It’s one of those things it’s easy to forget; and I’m sure ‘YouTube rights’ weren’t exactly discussed in the course of sourcing the footage. But seriously, if you’re going to do something as (potentially) high-profile as this, with inevitable scrutiny, you’d think they would have checked. It doesn’t ultimately say a lot for transformational government.
