I really like the idea behind this website, which compares the BBC News websiteโs selection of top news stories which you should read, against the stories which people are actually reading. Yes, the top stories are highly likely โ although absolutely not guaranteed โ to be among the most popular (which implies thereโs still a high degree of linear navigation from the homepage). But the ranking order can be very, very different. If you were a rival news service, with a commercial imperative, thereโs food for thought here. ๐
