All good session ideas - and worth posting on the ning community surely?

I'd like to hear stuff about WP as CMS, especially focusing on how to win the arguments with IT about security and performance.

And in Harry/Steph consultations session it'd be interesting to talk about how we move from tinkering at the edges to getting digital methods mandated in the formal consultation rules.

And the dashboards thing is interesting. My experience is that it's far from easy to embed - I'm favouring rss-fuelled email alerts these days.

I'd say Steph & I will certainly be doing a talk on consultations -- we've been doing some work together.

I'm considering running a brainstorming session for tellthemwhatyouthink, along the lines of: we've got a list of central government consultations now, more or less. What should we do with it?

I think there is a widespread understanding that Wordpress is an easy to implement blogging platform. Most barcampers will be aware that it can do more than blogging i.e. act as a CMS.

I'd be interested in a brainstorming session where we get people in Govt and people like yourself who understand the wider capability of the platform to explore how it could drive innovation in govt engagement. To explore what Govt people would want to do and see how far WP can meet those requests.

It's a kind of anti-rationalisation workshop.

As for your other ideas on sessions you'd like to attend. I'll see you at them all. The consultations one will be interesting, but the bigger issue perhaps is just how much policy makers want to do consultations.

YouTube - Downing Street use it for video hosting, is it the same for the rest of govt? How could Govt make the most of the networking capability of YouTube?

Finally the internal engagement. It was the final session of UKGovBarCamp08 for me. Has progress been made? We've been working with dashboards and getting to grips with the problems and benefits. We've a couple being used at the moment and I hope to show them off a little more at Barcamp.
