Undoubtedly the role of SpAds has to also be brought into the open - try even to find out who they and you hit a brick wall. Search the FCO&#039;s website for SpAd, Special Advisor, Special Adviser, Special Advisors, Special Advisers and you get nothing sensible.

The party leaders / government leader thing is also separate in other European countries, with some mixed results - Gerhard Schröder was deposed as party leader sometime before being removed as &lt;em&gt;Bundeskanzler&lt;/em&gt;.</description>
